Initial Appointment Checklist
DRY WORK
Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Kitchen, Living Rooms, Dining Rooms, Common Areas, Stairs, Hallways, Entryway, Offices
- High dusting: ceiling fans, lights, vents, tops of curtains, hard-to-reach places (no ladders/stepstools)
- Wet wipe: light switches, doorknobs, railings, doors, molding, baseboards
- Wet wipe & dust: wood and other furniture (including underneath)
- Wet wipe windowsills, tracks, ledges
- Wipe & polish: picture frames, wall décor, mirrors, glass, home décor
- Electronics: gently polish TV screens with microfiber (light mist of water only), dust backs
- Beds: made “TCH way” (hospital folds, tucked sheets, blanket fold, upright pillows, seams out)
- Couches: check under cushions for crumbs; vacuum if needed
- Floors: vacuum carpets/rugs (underneath smaller rugs, edges of large rugs), vacuum stairs, mop hard floors
- Tidy, style, and stage: straighten curtains, blinds, pillows, and décor
- Wipe under beds with microfiber mop
LAUNDRY ROOM
- Wet wipe: windowsills, tracks, ledges, baseboards, molding, doors, washer/dryer
- Remove dryer lint
- Light dust shelves
- Place dirty sheets in laundry room
- Empty trash and replace liner
- Vacuum and mop floors
KITCHEN
- High dust (no ladders/stepstools)
- Wet wipe: windowsills, tracks, ledges, doors, molding, baseboards, light switches, doorknobs
- Spot clean: indoor windows & glass doors (inside only)
- Counters & backsplash: soak, wipe, polish; face-forward items
- Outside of cupboards and shelves: wipe
- Table & chairs: wipe, pull out for vacuuming/mopping, wipe chair legs
- Polish décor on surfaces and walls
- Sink: scrub and polish, center faucet, face dish soap
- Trash/recycling: remove, clean trashcan and area, replace liner
Appliances – Large
- Fridge: front, sides, top, handles, inner ledges/door edges
- Dishwasher: front, sides, inner top edges
- Stovetop: clean & polish
- Oven: front, sides
Appliances – Small
- Microwave: inside & outside
- Toaster/Toaster oven: empty crumb tray, polish exterior
- Blender/Mixer: wipe & polish
- Coffee pot: empty old grounds, polish exterior
Floors
- Vacuum (including corners & under furniture)
- Mop
- Rugs: vacuum (large rugs not moved)
Final Touches
- Wipe crumbs, water spots, fingerprints
- Straighten blinds, curtains, wall frames
BATHROOMS
- Wet wipe: windowsills, tracks, ledges, doors, molding, baseboards
- Sanitize: light switches, doorknobs
- Light dust: light fixtures (by hand when possible)
- Counters & cupboards: wipe/sanitize
- Mirrors & glass: polish
Fixtures
- Sinks: detailed clean (heavily vs. lightly used)
- Toilets: wipe/sanitize entire area (including behind, brush holder, plunger); close lid; emboss toilet paper
- Showers: clean glass, tile, grout; wipe/style personal products; style shower curtain
- Bathtubs: detailed clean (heavily vs. lightly used)
- Chrome/polished finishes: shine
- Towels: folded in thirds

- Vacuum rugs
