Edgewater is a small home-rule city in Jefferson County. It covers about 445 acres, and 5,005 people lived there in the 2020 Census. Denver lies to the east, Lakewood to the south and west, and Wheat Ridge to the north. The city takes its name from its lakefront location on Sloan’s Lake. A small city with its own identity
Edgewater’s post office opened on March 1, 1892, and the Town of Edgewater incorporated on November 5, 1904. It’s a separate municipality, not a Denver neighborhood. Edgewater has its own police department, and West Metro Fire Rescue provides fire and emergency service. Public schools are part of Jeffco: Edgewater Elementary, Lumberg Elementary and Jefferson High School.
Despite its small footprint, Edgewater is densely built. In the 2020 count there were about 2,448 housing units, with roughly half owner-occupied and half rented. Many homes are on compact city lots, and in a lot of them a small kitchen and one or two bathrooms get heavy daily use.
Why small homes still need a schedule
In a smaller house, there’s less space to hide mess, so a week of cooking, pets and people walking in and out shows quickly. Here’s how we handle Edgewater homes:
- Kitchen first. In a small kitchen, every surface gets used, so we degrease the stovetop, wipe cabinet fronts, clean the sink and fixtures, and clean the floor edge to edge.
- Bathrooms done completely. One well-used bathroom needs a full clean every visit: tub or shower, toilet, vanity, mirror and floor.
- Lake-loop traffic. Many residents walk, run or bike the path around Sloan’s Lake. Shoes and gear bring in dirt, so entry areas get special attention.
- Pets. Hair builds up faster in small rooms, so we vacuum upholstery edges and under furniture, not just open floor.
How we schedule and what’s included
For ongoing care, use our residential house cleaning. Biweekly is standard, weekly and every four weeks are options, and there’s no three-week plan. If your home hasn’t been cleaned in a while, a one-time occupied deep clean is a good starting point. If it’s empty for a sale or a move, book move-in/out cleaning. We clean what’s in the quote, but deposits and inspections aren’t guaranteed.
All visits follow our non-toxic cleaning standard: lower-fume, mild-scented products that are not chemical-free, with no medical claims. Local shops and offices can arrange commercial cleaning, which is month-to-month, available at any size and always non-toxic. We can’t do same-day or rush cleaning.

When you ask for a quote, include the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, whether you have pets, and anything you’d like us to prioritize, like the oven, the inside of the fridge or a finished basement. Also tell us where our team should park: on your block, in your driveway or in a nearby alley. From that, we’ll set a checklist that stays the same from visit to visit.
