Golf, ball fields and Cherry Creek
The neighborhood’s centerpiece is the city-run Kennedy Golf Course at 10500 E. Hampden Ave. It has 27 regulation holes, a 9-hole par-3 course, a lighted driving range and a putting course. Next door, Kennedy Park has baseball and soccer fields. Cherry Creek runs through the neighborhood on its way from Cherry Creek Reservoir toward downtown, and the trail along it is busy with runners, cyclists and dog walkers. Cherry Creek State Park is just to the southeast, which makes Kennedy one of the easiest places in Denver to get outside.

Hampden Avenue is the main commercial road along the south side, and I-225 runs down the east edge, connecting to I-25 near the Denver Tech Center and to Aurora. Parker Road angles through the area toward the reservoir.
